Athletics at Whitmore Lake
Middle and High School

At Whitmore Lake Middle and High School, athletics are more than a program, they’re a point of pride and a central part of our school culture. In our close-knit community, students don’t have to choose between passions, they’re encouraged to pursue them all. It’s common for students to be three sport athletes, and equally common for them to take the field, court, or track as key contributors, not just benchwarmers.

Our student-athletes are involved, committed, and celebrated. Whether it’s a Friday night football game or a cross-country meet, Trojans show up for one another and build lifelong skills through teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. And sometimes, those moments become unforgettable, like the homecoming halftime show where a student-athlete marched with the band, tuba in hand, still wearing his football uniform. Whitmore Lake athletes don’t have to pick between sports, the arts, or academics, they do it all. And they do it together, supported by coaches, teachers, families, and classmates every step of the way.
